Care That Understands the Wear of Service

Rucking 50+ pounds. Sleeping on cots. Body armor that compresses your spine all day. Years of PT, jumps, and weapons systems training. The military breaks down bodies in very specific ways — and most civilian chiropractors have never seen the kind of cumulative musculoskeletal damage that builds up over a 6-year (or 26-year) career. We have. Dr. Tyler treats soldiers, veterans, and military families every week.

    Important: We are NOT veteran-owned.

We're proud to be an approved VA Community Care Network provider, but we want to be honest: Dr. Tyler did not serve in the military. We serve the military community because we believe veterans and active-duty soldiers deserve excellent care — not because we're claiming a connection we don't have.

    Who We Serve

    • Active-duty soldiers stationed at Fort Hood / Fort Cavazos
    • Veterans referred through VA Community Care
    • Military spouses and dependents on TRICARE
    • Retirees living in Killeen, Harker Heights, Nolanville & Copperas Cove
    • Civilian contractors and DoD employees

    How VA Community Care Works

If the VA can't see you in a reasonable time, or you live more than a 30-minute drive from a VA facility, you may qualify for Community Care — which lets you see an approved local provider like us, paid for by the VA at $0 out of pocket to you.

Get a referral. Talk to your VA primary care provider and request Community Care for chiropractic.
    2. 2
Pick us. Name "Body Mind & Spine Chiropractic in Temple, TX" — we're already in the network.
    3. 3
Schedule. Once we receive your authorization, we'll call to set up your first visit.

What Your First Visit Looks Like

Your first appointment is 30–40 minutes and includes a full consultation, exam, and X-rays — but no adjustment on day one. This is intentional: we want to see what's actually going on before we touch your spine. You'll leave with a clear diagnosis and a treatment plan tailored to your goals, whether that's getting back to full PT readiness or just being able to sleep without pain.

How far is your clinic from Fort Hood / Fort Cavazos?

We're located at 9325 Tarver Dr in west Temple — about 25 minutes from the East Gate, accessible via US-190 / I-14. Plenty of military families make the drive because of the VA Community Care approval and our experience with service-connected injuries.

What service-related injuries do you treat?

Common ones: chronic lower back pain from rucking and body armor, neck pain from helmets and night vision, shoulder injuries from PT and rigging, knee and hip pain from jumps and long marches, headaches and tension from deployment stress, and post-deployment musculoskeletal issues.
