How does your POSTURE relate to how you FEEL and FUNCTION?
Our approach focuses 1st on what could be causing your physical complaints and we look to the SPINE for answers. It’s our mission to help you understand the relationship between Your Posture and How You Feel and Function.
Your Posture is the WINDOW to your spine. Meaning, when your posture deviates from the GREEN LINE its a good indication that your spinal bones have shifted from stability and that in-stability is most likely contributing to your complaints.
Spinal instability is the #1 reason for poorposture. When theposture changes, itcreates abnormal amounts of physical stress causing joint pain and dysfunction, decreased motion, reduced physical performance and over time this postural stress sets the stage for pre-mature aging, aka arthritis.
As you can see, poor posture causes excessive bio-mechanical stressand strainto the NECK and SHOULDERScausing the natural 40° curve in the cervical spine to straighten out, resulting in FORWARD HEAD CARRIAGE. Forward Head Carriage is the most common reason for tension headaches (a contributing factor in Migraines)due to stress on the neck and shoulders. As the skeletal structure attempts to adapt, it will impact the Low Back, Knees and Feet creating additional pain and dysfunction.
If that isn’t enough, as your posture changes the spinal nerves can become INFLAMED, IRRITATEDand lose their ability to function properly. Additional issues such as Fatigue, Numb and Tingling Fingers and Toes, Raynaud’s Syndrome, Carpal Tunnel, Frozen or Painful Shoulder, Sciatica, and other Neuralgia’s are all possible.
